This year sees Dr Rosemans
20th year of association with the local Radio
Station, BRMB now part of Capital Radio, and his
10th year as Chairman of the Trustees of its Charity
arm, Cash for Kids.
It started in 1982 with fund raising for a local
child suffering from Spina Bifida. Envelopes were
delivered to 1 million homes and people brought
their donations to the Town Hall to be received
by players from Aston Villa and Birmingham City
who were present at the same time. The Tragedy
is it could not be done today without massive
problems!! |

then moved 2 years later to Great Charles Street.
Both these addresses no longer exist having been
knocked down to make way for roads during Birmingham's
attempt to copy Los Angeles. Moved to our present
home in 1964 |

Dr Roseman retires from refereeing
in local football leagues after 20 years. Started
before red and yellow cards were introduced but
didn't really need them later as only sent off 8
players in all that time and 2 of those were when
two members of the same team started to fight each
other, another was a goalkeeper who was suffering
from the effects of the night before and whose language
turned the air blue.

This was the year that many
airlines re-designed their uniforms and there was
a trend to return to metal badges from the cloth
